I'm so excited that I just had to share! My new gel seat is en route from California and I should be able to go pick it up on Friday!
I found the best price/deal through Sports Centre in Monterey, California. (www.sports-center.com) They used to have a really good, comprehensive site with great discounts. In February they "re-vamped" their site and now it's terrible. No discounts, hardly any pictures, very hard to navigate. So if you're interested in checking them out, you might just want to e-mail their internet sales guy John (parts@mbay.net).
I got the seat for $189.16 (USD), no tax and if your order is over $100 shipping is free in the U.S. However, I am in Canada so I will be driving down to Niagara Falls on Friday to pick it up at UPS!
With the exchange rate, this will cost me about $300 CDN (plus the taxes I will have to pay at the border). Best price I could get in Canada was $400 plus taxes. I consider that worth a drive to scenic Niagara! (Worst price I got was over $500 CDN plus taxes!)
Sports Center also has all the other Suzuki accessories for the Savage (all 5 of them), and if you email you'll get the internet discount.
Anyhow, I'll stop rambling now and I'll let you all know how I find the gel seat once I've had a chance to put some mileage on it.
